Hans Gorg Näder is not only the CEO of the Otto Bock group of companies and a billionaire, but also the father of two daughters, Julia and Georgina. They are half-sisters and come from their father’s two marriages. They differ in some ways, but share their father’s traits: determination and caring.
1990 is a year in which a lot happens: Hans Georg Näder takes over the management of the company from his father Max Näder. At the age of 28, he has just completed his studies in business administration and is now responsible for the billion-dollar Group. His father’s expectations are high, as is the criticism from outside. But there is one more special event this year. The birth of his first daughter, Julia.
After graduating from Louisenlund boarding school, she studied business administration like her father. But she has something else in common with father Hans Georg: the urge and desire to support those in need wherever possible. This is evident in two areas:
Helping people in need runs in the family, and so Julia has been taught these values since childhood. One’s own possibilities should be used to support people who have not been so lucky in life.
Her particularly great empathy is also shown in the animal world: in 2013 she was able to realize the dream of many young women: An equestrian facility of her own. The then 22-year-old took over the Uetz riding stable, near Berlin. Here, the welfare of the animals comes first. A comprehensive modernization of the stable ensures that the animals are kept in a manner appropriate to their species.
Julia herself, however, can no longer get on a horse. It is the irony of fate. One day after she signed the purchase contract for the facility, she had a riding accident. In a fall from horseback, she broke her back and is now dependent on medical support, which supports her back. Göttinger Tagesblatt 5 Oktober 2021
Since 2018, she has been a board member of the Otto Bock group of companies and thus also part of the family empire, just like her little sister Georgina.
Naeder’s younger daughter was born in 1997. Just like her older sister, she graduated from Louisenlund boarding school. This came at a good time, because there was a lot of stress at home at the time: her parents were separating. But that didn’t stop Georgina from pursuing the path that is now behind her. After graduating from school, she decided to study “Business Administration and Innovation in Healthcare” in Barcelona.
Parallel to her studies, Georgina Näder already took on responsibility in the family business in 2017. Her father secured her a place on the management and supervisory boards. The then 20-year-old is thus one of the youngest to hold such a high position. For Georgina, however, this was a great motivation to prove herself. Handelsblatt 8 March 2021
